Dog Theft Testimonials

STEPHEN CURTIS -  FINSBURY PARK, LONDON
“I left Jess outside the supermarket on Ladbroke Grove. No one told me this was a dangerous thing to do. When I came out later she was gone. I could not believe it, I asked anyone I could find, but no one had seen anything. I was completely frantic. She is a Rottweiler but a total softy, really the sweetest dog. I made posters which I put up everywhere. Finally more that a week later I got a call from a man. He said he knew who had my dog and he could get it back, but it would cost £300. It was obvious he had taken her, but was not going to incriminate himself. I agreed of course and arranged a place to meet,  then I called the police. When I went to the meeting spot the man turned up with Jess, and two other men. I kept thinking that the Police would arrive but they didn’t and I could not wait. I was just pleased to get her back. It is an awful thing to happen to her. Sadly I hear it happens more and more now, I wish the Police would take it seriously.”
POLLY WALKER –‘NICHE’ HOME STORE, KENSAL RISE
“ A friend of mine, Kuddy Dunn, owns a lovely shop that sells Vietnamese Clothes and Gift wear opposite Kensal Rise train station. A few months ago a customer came to her shop with a dog. It was an old dog, a mature cross of sorts not a pedigree at all or anything like that. She tied her up to the railings directly outside. She was in the shop perhaps 10 minutes, but when she went outside again her dog was gone. It was awful. There was nothing they could do, apparently no one had seen anything unusual at all. Some one must have simply walked up and taken the dog. I can’t imagine how bad that would be. I would feel devastated on their behalf. I have a dog and I know how awful I would feel if he was taken. Ten minutes! I don’t know what happened after that.  It’s just too bad that customers need worry about that.”
